What is Thyroid?
Your thyroid creates and produces hormones that play a role in many different systems throughout your body. When your thyroid makes either too much or too little of these important hormones, it’s called a thyroid disease. There are several different types of thyroid disease, including hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, thyroiditis and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Hypothyroidism is a condition where there isn’t enough thyroid hormone in your bloodstream and your metabolism slows down. Hypothyroidism happens when your thyroid doesn’t create and release enough thyroid hormone into your body. This makes your metabolism slow down, affecting you entire body. Also known as underactive thyroid disease, hypothyroidism is fairly common.


Symptoms of thyroid in men:-
1. Hair loss: If any one suffering from thyroid, then hair loss is a common fact for him.
2. Low sex drive.
3. Low sperm count:- Sperm vitality and motility starting decreased if any meal suffering from this problem, thyroid is a big reason of infertility.
4. Delayed ejaculation.
5. Erectile dysfunction.
6. Loss of muscle mass.
7. Lowered testosterone levels.
8. Gynecomastia (male breast enlargement)
Thyroid is a main cause of infertility, it can destroy your dream to be a father. High levels of thyroid hormones can interfere with the production of gonadotropin hormones, which then affects testis function and sperm quality. In men, hyperthyroidism can cause a marked reduction in sperm count, resulting in reduced fertility. The sperm count usually returns to normal once the thyroid condition has been treated.
