
What is ectopic pregnancy?
Ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg grows outside of the uterus. As the pregnancy grows, it can cause the tube to burst. Ectopic pregnancy is the most common cause of maternal mortality in the first trimester and a condition that women should know about. It occurs when a pregnancy implants outside of the uterine cavity.
How IVF treatment related to Ectopic Treatment?
Some doctor suggest IVF treatment for ectopic treatment, there is many risk in this process. Ectopic pregnancy is a well-known risk of IVF.
Ectopic pregnancy rates in IVF are lower compared to natural pregnancies, ranging between 2-5%. However, individual factors like age and health conditions can influence this percentage. Risk factors for EP after natural conception (e.g., tubal surgery, previous EP, pelvic inflammatory disease, and infertility) have been well described 8, 9. Patients who undergo IVF often have a high number of these risk factors and also are at high risk for EP after natural conception; however, it is not clear that these risk factors have the same effect after treatment with IVF. Becoming pregnant with IVF treatment there was a high risk of multiple babies carries higher risks of pregnancy-related high blood pressure and diabetes, early labour and delivery, low birth weight, and birth defects than does pregnancy with a single baby.
Another well-known consequence of IVF is an increased risk of Ectopic pregnancy. For this problem, early detection and management is of the utmost importance. It is important to identify risk factors to provide patients with adequate information, to rule out an EP or to diagnose and treat an EP early, and possibly, to develop preventive strategies. The aim of the present study was to identify risk factors for EP among patients who conceive through IVF.SO, IVF treatment is not a good idea for Ectopic Treatment.
